Trivet, made of Recycled Glass, featuring ""The Sentinel"" by artist Arnold Friberg
The carved trivet made of bound recycled glass recreates the art of Arnold Friberg, an American artist, who created over 200 Mountie paintings for the Northwest Paper Company between 1937 and 1970. These paintings helped develop the quintessential Mountie image that is known around the world. The Sentinel captures the spirit of the development of Canada and the role played by the Royal Mounted Police. Truly functional, this trivet is heat resistant to 340 degrees F.(170 C) , will withstand your boiling stock pot and is conveniently, has felt protective dots to protect the finest of surfaces and is notched for easy hanging to adorn any wall. The RCMP Foundation raises funds to develop local community programs to support areas such as Community Policing, child safety, drug awareness, crime prevention, literacy, internet safety, anti-bullying and victim assistance programs.
