It’s the Year of the Water (Black) Snake!

On February 10, 2013, Chinese will welcome in the Year of the Water Snake. Although snakes are often despised by everybody but little boys in the Western Hemisphere, Chinese consider a snake in the house a good omen because it means the family will never starve.

Snakes were born in 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, and 2001. Snakes have a wealth of wisdom and charm, are romantic, deep thinking and intuitive. They hate procrastination and can be stingy with money, while being generous with their time and energy. The Snake would be most content as a teacher, philosopher, writer, psychiatrist or fortune teller.

The year of the Water Snake 2013 continues to see better times thanks to its well-balanced element combinations. This year should see an improving trend. Although the year is imbued with a sense of peace and a reduction of hostilities, there will also be natural or man-made disasters. 2013 forecasts also suggest there are sufficient resources for a new prosperity to prevail (goodbye, Fiscal Cliff!).

This year, like last, will be slow-moving. It’s a time for consolidating gains and laying the groundwork for launching future projects. It’s a great year for talking with others before turning ideas into realities. Just go with the flow, and you could end the year ready to propel yourself in a new direction, scale new heights, or consolidate financial gains you’ve been working on the past couple of years.
