How to Choose Meaningful Holiday Gifts for Clients and Teams

The holidays are just around the corner, and if you’re anything like me, you’re already thinking about how to appreciate the people who help make your year what it is—your team, your clients, and your partners.

With more than 30 years in the gifting world, one thing I know for sure is this: the best gifts aren’t really “things.” They’re gestures that say, I see you. I value you. I’m grateful for you. Sometimes it’s as simple as a beautiful notebook for the colleague who’s always full of ideas, a favourite mug for the one who never starts a day without coffee, or a thoughtful item that reflects a shared story or inside joke. It’s the intention behind it that makes someone feel truly recognized.

This year, I’m leaning into gifts that feel personal without being complicated—useful, meaningful pieces that bring a little joy to someone’s workspace or daily routine. When they reach for it, they remember the connection.

For me, the magic has never been in the price. It’s in taking a moment to think: What would genuinely brighten their day? What do they care about? What would make them feel appreciated?

If you’re planning for the season, I always recommend starting early—not just to avoid the December rush, but because thoughtfulness takes time. Whether you curate gifts yourself or work with a partner who can help with customization, that extra level of care always shines through.

And truly, when you give something that resonates, you create a moment of connection. That’s the heart of the holidays for me—not just exchanging gifts, but strengthening the relationships that matter.

How do you approach holiday gifting? I’d love to hear what’s been meaningful for you.
