Small Clam Shell Box - Canadian Museum of History Museum Reproduction (Made in Canada)

CMH licensed reproduction of Haida argillite box, Clam Shell Box, available Large or Small.

Reproduced under license from the Canadian Museum of History, this box was originally carved by the great Haida artist John Robson, stepfather of the legendary Charles Edenshaw. It is a fine example of the type of Victorian chest that the Haida specialized in during the latter part of the 18th century. Made of a crushed black marble composite to simulate argillite this box has an embedded pewter medallion to authenticate the museum reproduction.
