January 2021 Newsletter: In Gratitude
As I look back over the year, I am in awe of how much I have to be grateful for. This past year presented immerse challenges and uncertainties. However, there were also glimmers of hope and acts of love that brought light and joy.
- I am truly grateful for our wonderful team that helped us navigate the year and worked tirelessly to help clients with their gifts.
- I am grateful for having clients who put their trust and faith in us. Helping them stand out with their gifts is my passion and I am privileged to do this work everyday.
- I am grateful for the google reviews written by clients and recipients who took the time to share their experiences and feedback. These testimonials provide the fuel that keeps us going.
- I am grateful for the launch of Snack Heros that has brought so much fun to our workplace, along with opportunities to bring joy and energy to people working from home for the first time.
- I am grateful for the customization projects that we took on, and the fun challenges this provided for me and the team.
Lunar New Year is celebrated not only within the Chinese community but also a festival for Vietnamese, Korean and other Asian cultures. It is customary to give gifts on Lunar New Year and we would love to help you find the perfect gift to honor your Asian colleagues or friends. After a lovely Christmas dinner, while we were sitting by the fire and relaxing, my son suddenly asked my husband Steve and I about our goals for 2021. He offered that we should each pick five, which are achievable and realistic.
Goals that serve me are those that embrace the process and not the results. For example, if I set my goal to master a new instrument. I will probably fall short. However, if I make my goal to practice that instrument regularly (maybe 2 to 3 times a week) I can commit to that. I try to choose goals that motivate and inspire me and break them into achievable action items. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
I also write them down and share them, to make these commitments feel real and tangible. With that being said, here are a few of my goals for 2021.
- To read and write everyday.
- Get outside once a day
- To have another speaking event with Abundance in a Box. Learn more about these seminars here.
- Visit my sister and her husband in Sweden and check at least one other destination off my list of places to visit in Scandinavia.
- Dedicate more time to having FUN by pushing myself to get better at skiing and better at paddle boarding this summer.
